Psalms 52:8

But I ¹  am like a flourishing ²  olive tree in the house of God; I continually ³  trust in God’s loyal love.

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.

But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.

But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever.

And I'm an olive tree, growing green in God's house. I trusted in the generous mercy of God then and now.

But I am like a branching olive-tree in the house of God; I have put my faith in his mercy for ever and ever.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.

¹ tn The disjunctive construction (vav [ו] + subject) highlights the contrast between the evildoer’s destiny (vv. 5-7) and that of the godly psalmist’s security.

² tn Or “luxuriant, green, leafy.”
