Psalms 40:9

I have told the great assembly ¹  about your justice. ²  Look! I spare no words! ³  O Lord, you know this is true.

I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, as you know, O LORD.

I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation; Behold, I will not restrain my lips, O LORD, You know.

I have told all your people about your justice. I have not been afraid to speak out, as you, O LORD, well know.

I've preached you to the whole congregation, I've kept back nothing, GOD--you know that.

I have given news of righteousness in the great meeting; O Lord, you have knowledge that I have not kept back my words.

I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; see, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD.

I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O LORD, You Yourself know.

¹ sn The great assembly is also mentioned in Pss 22:25 and 35:18.

² tn Heb “I proclaim justice in the great assembly.” Though “justice” appears without a pronoun here, the Lord’s just acts are in view (see v. 10). His “justice” (צֶדֶק, tsedeq) is here the deliverance that originates in his justice; he protects and vindicates the one whose cause is just.
