Psalms 101:3

I will not even consider doing what is dishonest. ¹  I hate doing evil; ²  I will have no part of it. ³ 

I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they shall not cling to me.

I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.

I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all crooked dealings; I will have nothing to do with them.

I refuse to take a second look at corrupting people and degrading things. I reject made-in-Canaan gods, stay clear of contamination.

I will not put any evil thing before my eyes; I am against all turning to one side; I will not have it near me.

I will not set before my eyes anything that is base. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.

¹ tn Heb “I will not set before my eyes a thing of worthlessness.”

² tn Heb “the doing of swerving [deeds] I hate.” The Hebrew term סֵטִים (setim) is probably an alternate spelling of שֵׂטִים (setim), which appears in many medieval Hebrew mss. The form appears to be derived from a verbal root שׂוּט (sut, “to fall away; to swerve”; see Ps 40:4).
