Genesis 4:10

But the Lord said, “What have you done? ¹  The voice ²  of your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!

The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.

He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.

But the LORD said, "What have you done? Listen––your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!

GOD said, "What have you done! The voice of your brother's blood is calling to me from the ground.

And he said, What have you done? the voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the earth.

And the LORD said, "What have you done? Listen; your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!

And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

But the Lord said, “What have you done? ¹  The voice ²  of your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!

¹ sn What have you done? Again the Lord’s question is rhetorical (see Gen 3:13), condemning Cain for his sin.
