But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter ¹  in the law to become void. ² 

It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.

"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.

But that doesn’t mean that the law has lost its force in even the smallest point. It is stronger and more permanent than heaven and earth.

The sky will disintegrate and the earth dissolve before a single letter of God's Law wears out.

But heaven and earth will come to an end before the smallest letter of the law may be dropped out.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one stroke of a letter in the law to be dropped.

"And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter ¹  in the law to become void. ² 

¹ tn Or “one small part of a letter” (L&N 33.37).

² tn Grk “to fall”; that is, “to drop out of the text.” Jesus’ point may be that the law is going to reach its goal without fail, in that the era of the promised kingdom comes.
