Leviticus 18:14

You must not expose the nakedness of your father’s brother; you must not approach his wife to have sexual intercourse with her. ¹  She is your aunt. ² 

"‘Do not dishonour your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.

‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother; you shall not approach his wife, she is your aunt.

And do not violate your uncle, your father’s brother, by having sexual intercourse with his wife; she also is your aunt.

"Don't violate your father's brother, your uncle, by having sex with his wife. She is your aunt.

You may not have sex relations with the wife of your father’s brother, for she is of your family;

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, that is, you shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.

‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.

You must not expose the nakedness of your father’s brother; you must not approach his wife to have sexual intercourse with her. ¹  She is your aunt. ² 

¹ tn Heb “you must not draw near to his wife.” In the context this refers to approaching one’s aunt to have sexual intercourse with her, so this has been specified in the translation for clarity.

² tn As in v. 12 (see the note there), some mss and versions have “because she is your aunt.”
