John 5:32

There is another ¹  who testifies about me, and I know the testimony he testifies about me is true.

There is another who testifies in my favour, and I know that his testimony about me is valid.

"There is another who testifies of Me, and I know that the testimony which He gives about Me is true.

But someone else is also testifying about me, and I can assure you that everything he says about me is true.

But an independent witness confirms me, the most reliable Witness of all.

There is another who gives witness about me and I am certain that the witness he gives about me is true.

There is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that his testimony to me is true.

"There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true.

There is another ¹  who testifies about me, and I know the testimony he testifies about me is true.

¹ sn To whom does another refer? To John the Baptist or to the Father? In the nearer context, v. 33, it would seem to be John the Baptist. But v. 34 seems to indicate that Jesus does not receive testimony from men. Probably it is better to view v. 32 as identical to v. 37, with the comments about the Baptist as a parenthetical digression.
