Isaiah 60:15

You were once abandoned and despised, with no one passing through, but I will make you ¹  a permanent source of pride and joy to coming generations.

"Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no-one travelling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.

"Whereas you have been forsaken and hated With no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, A joy from generation to generation.

"Though you were once despised and hated and rebuffed by all, you will be beautiful forever. You will be a joy to all generations, for I will make you so.

Not long ago you were despised refuse--out-of-the-way, unvisited, ignored. But now I've put you on your feet, towering and grand forever, a joy to look at!

And though you were turned away from, and hated, and had no helper, I will make you a pride for ever, a joy from generation to generation.

Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you majestic forever, a joy from age to age.

"Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, So that no one went through you , I will make you an eternal excellence, A joy of many generations.
