Ezekiel 28:9

Will you still say, “I am a god,” before the one who kills you – though you are a man and not a god – when you are in the power of those who wound you?

Will you then say, "I am a god," in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a man, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you.

‘Will you still say, "I am a god," In the presence of your slayer, Though you are a man and not God, In the hands of those who wound you?

Will you then boast, ‘I am a god!’ to those who kill you? To them you will be no god but merely a man!

Will you protest to your assassins, "You can't do that! I'm a god"? To them you're a mere mortal. They're killing a man, not a god.

Will you say, in the face of those who are taking your life, I am God? but you are man and not God in the hands of those who are wounding you.

Will you still say, "I am a god," in the presence of those who kill you, though you are but a mortal, and no god, in the hands of those who wound you?

"Will you still say before him who slays you, ‘I am a god’? But you shall be a man, and not a god, In the hand of him who slays you.
