Deuteronomy 20:7

Or who among you ¹  has become engaged to a woman but has not married her? He may go home, lest he die in battle and someone else marry her.”

Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her."

‘And who is the man that is engaged to a woman and has not married her? Let him depart and return to his house, otherwise he might die in the battle and another man would marry her.’

Has anyone just become engaged? Well, go home and get married! You might die in the battle, and someone else would marry your fianc‚e.’

Is there a man here engaged to marry who hasn't yet taken his wife? Let him go home right now lest he die in battle and another man take her."

Or if any man is newly married and has had no sex relations with his wife, let him go back to his house, so that in the event of his death in the fight, another man may not take her.

Has anyone become engaged to a woman but not yet married her? He should go back to his house, or he might die in the battle and another marry her."
