Matthew 15:24

So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."

Then he said to the woman, "I was sent only to help the people of Israel––God’s lost sheep––not the Gentiles."

Jesus refused, telling them, "I've got my hands full dealing with the lost sheep of Israel."

But he made answer and said, I was sent only to the wandering sheep of the house of Israel.

He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

¹ tn Grk “And answering, he said.” The construction in Greek is somewhat redundant and has been simplified in the translation. Here δέ (de) has been translated as “so” to indicate the implied result of the disciples’ request.
