Isaiah 33:21

Instead the Lord will rule there as our mighty king. ¹  Rivers and wide streams will flow through it; ²  no war galley will enter; ³  no large ships will sail through. ⁴ 

There the LORD will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them.

But there the majestic One, the LORD, will be for us A place of rivers and wide canals On which no boat with oars will go, And on which no mighty ship will pass—

The LORD will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross.

Instead, GOD! GOD majestic, God himself the place in a country of broad rivers and streams, But rivers blocked to invading ships, off-limits to predatory pirates.

But there the Lord will be with us in his glory, …wide rivers and streams; where no boat will go with blades, and no fair ship will be sailing.

But there the LORD in majesty will be for us a place of broad rivers and streams, where no galley with oars can go, nor stately ship can pass.

But there the majestic LORD will be for us A place of broad rivers and streams, In which no galley with oars will sail, Nor majestic ships pass by

¹ tn Heb “But there [as] a mighty one [will be] the Lord for us.”

² tn Heb “a place of rivers, streams wide of hands [i.e., on both sides].”
