Galatians 4:26

But the Jerusalem above is free, ¹  and she is our mother.

But Sarah, the free woman, represents the heavenly Jerusalem. And she is our mother.

In contrast to that, there is an invisible Jerusalem, a free Jerusalem, and she is our mother--this is the way of Sarah.

But the Jerusalem on high is free, which is our mother.

But the other woman corresponds to the Jerusalem above; she is free, and she is our mother.

but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

¹ sn The meaning of the statement the Jerusalem above is free is that the other woman represents the second covenant (cf. v. 24); she corresponds to the Jerusalem above that is free. Paul’s argument is very condensed at this point.
