Acts 11:1

Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles too had accepted ¹  the word of God. ²

Soon the news reached the apostles and other believers in Judea that the Gentiles had received the word of God.

The news traveled fast and in no time the leaders and friends back in Jerusalem heard about it--heard that the non-Jewish "outsiders" were now "in."

Now the Apostles and the brothers who were in Judaea had news that the word of God had been given to the Gentiles.

Now the apostles and the believers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also accepted the word of God.

Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

² tn Here the phrase “word of God” is another way to describe the gospel (note the preceding verb ἐδέξαντο, edexanto, “accepted”). The phrase could also be translated “the word [message] from God.”
