1 Corinthians 12:12

For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ.

You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts--limbs, organs, cells--but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ.

For as the body is one, and has a number of parts, and all the parts make one body, so is Christ.

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
