Numbers 35:30

“Whoever kills any person, the murderer must be put to death by the testimony ¹  of witnesses; but one witness cannot ²  testify against any person to cause him to be put to death.

"‘Anyone who kills a person is to be put to death as a murderer only on the testimony of witnesses. But no-one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.

‘If anyone kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death at the evidence of witnesses, but no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness.

"‘All murderers must be executed, but only if there is more than one witness. No one may be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.

"Anyone who kills another may be executed only on the testimony of eyewitnesses. But no one can be executed on the testimony of only one witness.

Anyone causing the death of another is himself to be put to death on the word of witnesses: but the word of one witness is not enough.

If anyone kills another, the murderer shall be put to death on the evidence of witnesses; but no one shall be put to death on the testimony of a single witness.

‘Whoever kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness is not sufficient testimony against a person for the death penalty .
