Matthew 7:15

“Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are voracious wolves. ¹ 

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

"Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart.

"Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don't be impressed with charisma; look for character.

Be on the watch for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside they are cruel wolves.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

¹ sn Sheep’s clothing…voracious wolves. Jesus uses a metaphor here to point out that these false prophets appear to be one thing, but in reality they are something quite different and dangerous.
