Then he got up, took the child and his mother during ¹  the night, and went to Egypt.

So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,

So Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and left for Egypt.

That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother,

Joseph obeyed. He got up, took the child and his mother under cover of darkness. They were out of town and well on their way by daylight.

So he took the young child and his mother by night, and went into Egypt;

Then Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and went to Egypt,

When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,

Then he got up, took the child and his mother during ¹  the night, and went to Egypt.

¹ tn The feminine singular genitive noun νυκτός (nuktos, “night”) indicates the time during which the action of the main verb takes place (ExSyn 124).
