Then ¹  he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake for one hour?

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Simon," he said to Peter, "are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?

And He *came and *found them sleeping, and *said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?

Then he returned and found the disciples asleep. "Simon!" he said to Peter. "Are you asleep? Couldn’t you stay awake and watch with me even one hour?

He came back and found them sound asleep. He said to Peter, "Simon, you went to sleep on me? Can't you stick it out with me a single hour?

And he came, and saw them sleeping, and said to Peter, Simon, are you sleeping? were you not able to keep watch one hour?

He came and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep awake one hour?

Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?

Then ¹  he came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake for one hour?

¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative.
