Genesis 22:1

Some time after these things God tested ¹  Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am!” Abraham ²  replied.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."

Later on God tested Abraham’s faith and obedience. "Abraham!" God called. "Yes," he replied. "Here I am."

After all this, God tested Abraham. God said, "Abraham!" "Yes?" answered Abraham. "I'm listening."

Now after these things, God put Abraham to the test, and said to him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

After these things God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."

Some time after these things God tested ¹  Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am!” Abraham ²  replied.

¹ sn The Hebrew verb used here means “to test; to try; to prove.” In this passage God tests Abraham to see if he would be obedient. See T. W. Mann, The Book of the Torah, 44-48. See also J. L.
