Ezekiel 22:29

The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have wronged the poor and needy; they have oppressed the foreigner who lives among them and denied them justice. ¹ 

The people of the land practise extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and ill-treat the alien, denying them justice.

Even common people oppress the poor, rob the needy, and deprive foreigners of justice.

Extortion is rife, robbery is epidemic, the poor and needy are abused, outsiders are kicked around at will, with no access to justice.'

The people of the land have been acting cruelly, taking men’s goods by force; they have been hard on the poor and those in need, and have done wrong to the man from a strange land.

"The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger.
