Psalms 9:16

The Lord revealed himself; he accomplished justice; the wicked were ensnared by their own actions. ¹  (Higgaion. ²  Selah)

The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. Higgaion. Selah

The LORD has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion Selah.

The LORD is known for his justice. The wicked have trapped themselves in their own snares. Quiet Interlude

They have no excuse; the way God works is well-known. The cunning machinery made by the wicked has maimed their own hands.

The Lord has given knowledge of himself through his judging: the evil-doer is taken in the net which his hands had made. (Higgaion. Selah.)

¹ tn Heb “by the work of his hands [the] wicked [one] was ensnared. The singular form רָשָׁע (rasha’, “wicked”) is collective or representative here (see vv. 15, 17). The form נוֹקֵשׁ (noqesh) appears to be an otherwise unattested Qal form (active participle) from נָקַשׁ (naqash), but the form should be emended to נוֹקַשׁ (noqash), a Niphal perfect from יָקַשׁ (yaqash).
