Numbers 1:45

All the Israelites who were twenty years old or older, who could serve in Israel’s army, were numbered ¹  according to their families.

All the Israelites twenty years old or more who were able to serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.

So all the numbered men of the sons of Israel by their fathers’ households, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go out to war in Israel,

They were counted by families––all the men of Israel who were twenty years old or older and able to go to war.

So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel, by their families, all those of twenty years old and over who were able to go to war,

So the whole number of the Israelites, by their ancestral houses, from twenty years old and upward, everyone able to go to war in Israel—

So all who were numbered of the children of Israel, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war in Israel––

All the Israelites who were twenty years old or older, who could serve in Israel’s army, were numbered ¹  according to their families.

¹ tn Literally the text has, “and all the numbered of the Israelites were according to their families.” The verb in the sentence is actually without a complement (see v. 46).
