Matthew 25:45

Then he will answer them, ¹  ‘I tell you the truth, ²  just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’

"He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

"Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

And he will answer, ‘I assure you, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’

"He will answer them, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me--you failed to do it to me.'

Then will he make answer to them, saying, Truly I say to you, Because you did it not to the least of these, you did it not to me.

Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’

"Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

Then he will answer them, ¹  ‘I tell you the truth, ²  just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’

¹ tn Grk “answer them, saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant in contemporary English and has not been translated.

² tn Grk “Truly (ἀμήν, amhn), I say to you.”
