Luke 8:52

Now they were all ¹  wailing and mourning ²  for her, but he said, “Stop your weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”

Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep."

Now they were all weeping and lamenting for her; but He said, "Stop weeping, for she has not died, but is asleep."

The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said, "Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she is only asleep."

Everyone was crying and carrying on over her. Jesus said, "Don't cry. She didn't die; she's sleeping."

And all the people were weeping and crying for her; but he said, Do not be sad, for she is not dead, but sleeping.

They were all weeping and wailing for her; but he said, "Do not weep; for she is not dead but sleeping."

Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, "Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping."

Now they were all ¹  wailing and mourning ²  for her, but he said, “Stop your weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”

¹ sn This group probably includes outside or even professional mourners, not just family, because a large group seems to be present.
