Luke 14:22

Then ¹  the slave said, ‘Sir, what you instructed has been done, and there is still room.’ ² 

"‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’

"And the slave said, ‘Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’

After the servant had done this, he reported, ‘There is still room for more.’

"The servant reported back, 'Master, I did what you commanded--and there's still room.'

And the servant said, Lord, your orders have been done, and still there is room.

And the slave said, ‘Sir, what you ordered has been done, and there is still room."

"And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’

Then ¹  the slave said, ‘Sir, what you instructed has been done, and there is still room.’ ² 

¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the order of events within the parable.

² sn And still there is room. This comment suggests the celebration was quite a big one, picturing the openness of God’s grace.
