Luke 10:26

He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?” ¹ 

"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?"

Jesus replied, "What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?"

He answered, "What's written in God's Law? How do you interpret it?"

And he said to him, What does the law say, in your reading of it?

He said to him, "What is written in the law? What do you read there?"

He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it ?"

He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?” ¹ 

¹ tn Grk “How do you read?” The pronoun “it” is not in the Greek text, but is implied. Direct objects were frequently omitted in Greek when clear from the context.
