Jeremiah 3:20

But, you have been unfaithful to me, nation of Israel, ¹  like an unfaithful wife who has left her husband,” ²  says the Lord.

But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you have been unfaithful to me, O house of Israel," declares the LORD.

"Surely, as a woman treacherously departs from her lover, So you have dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel," declares the LORD.

But you have betrayed me, you people of Israel! You have been like a faithless wife who leaves her husband," says the LORD.

But no luck. Like a false-hearted woman walking out on her husband, you, the whole family of Israel, have proven false to me." GOD's Decree.

Truly, as a wife is false to her husband, so have you been false to me, O Israel, says the Lord.

Instead, as a faithless wife leaves her husband, so you have been faithless to me, O house of Israel, says the LORD.
