Isaiah 59:14

Justice is driven back; godliness ¹  stands far off. Indeed, ²  honesty stumbles in the city square and morality is not even able to enter.

So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter.

Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands far away; For truth has stumbled in the street, And uprightness cannot enter.

Our courts oppose people who are righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth falls dead in the streets, and fairness has been outlawed.

Justice is beaten back, Righteousness is banished to the sidelines, Truth staggers down the street, Honesty is nowhere to be found,

And the right is turned back, and righteousness is far away: for good faith is not to be seen in the public places, and upright behaviour may not come into the town.
