Acts 22:11

Since I could not see because of ¹  the brilliance ²  of that light, I came to Damascus led by the hand of ³  those who were with me.

My companions led me by the hand into Damascus, because the brilliance of the light had blinded me.

"But since I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me and came into Damascus.

"I was blinded by the intense light and had to be led into Damascus by my companions.

And so we entered Damascus, but nothing like the entrance I had planned--I was blind as a bat and my companions had to lead me in by the hand.

And because I was unable to see because of the glory of that light, those who were with me took me by the hand, and so I came to Damascus.

Since I could not see because of the brightness of that light, those who were with me took my hand and led me to Damascus.

"And since I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of those who were with me, I came into Damascus.

Since I could not see because of ¹  the brilliance ²  of that light, I came to Damascus led by the hand of ³  those who were with me.

¹ tn BDAG 106 s.v. ἀπό 5.a has “οὐκ ἐνέβλεπον ἀπὸ τῆς δόξης τοῦ φωτός I could not see because of the brilliance of the light Ac 22:11.”

² tn Or “brightness”; Grk “glory.”

³ tn Grk “by” (ὑπό, Jupo), but this would be too awkward in English following the previous “by.”
