Isaiah 2:3

2:3 many peoples will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the Lord’s mountain,

to the temple of the God of Jacob,

so he can teach us his requirements,

and we can follow his standards.”

For Zion will be the center for moral instruction;

the Lord will issue edicts from Jerusalem.

Isaiah 18:7

18:7 At that time

tribute will be brought to the Lord who commands armies,

by a people that are tall and smooth-skinned,

a people that are feared far and wide,

a nation strong and victorious,

whose land rivers divide.

The tribute will be brought to the place where the Lord who commands armies has chosen to reside, on Mount Zion.

Isaiah 22:25

22:25 “At that time,” 10  says the Lord who commands armies, “the peg fastened into a solid place will come loose. It will be cut off and fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut off.” 11  Indeed, 12  the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah 23:18

23:18 Her profits and earnings will be set apart for the Lord. They will not be stored up or accumulated, for her profits will be given to those who live in the Lord’s presence and will be used to purchase large quantities of food and beautiful clothes. 13 

Isaiah 34:6

34:6 The Lord’s sword is dripping with blood,

it is covered 14  with fat;

it drips 15  with the blood of young rams and goats

and is covered 16  with the fat of rams’ kidneys.

For the Lord is holding a sacrifice 17  in Bozrah, 18 

a bloody 19  slaughter in the land of Edom.

Isaiah 37:4

37:4 Perhaps the Lord your God will hear all these things the chief adviser has spoken on behalf of his master, the king of Assyria, who sent him to taunt the living God. 20  When the Lord your God hears, perhaps he will punish him for the things he has said. 21  So pray for this remnant that remains.’” 22 

Isaiah 44:23

44:23 Shout for joy, O sky, for the Lord intervenes; 23 

shout out, you subterranean regions 24  of the earth.

O mountains, give a joyful shout;

you too, O forest and all your trees! 25 

For the Lord protects 26  Jacob;

he reveals his splendor through Israel. 27 

Isaiah 45:18

45:18 For this is what the Lord says,

the one who created the sky –

he is the true God, 28 

the one who formed the earth and made it;

he established it,

he did not create it without order, 29 

he formed it to be inhabited –

“I am the Lord, I have no peer.

Isaiah 49:5

49:5 So now the Lord says,

the one who formed me from birth 30  to be his servant –

he did this 31  to restore Jacob to himself,

so that Israel might be gathered to him;

and I will be honored 32  in the Lord’s sight,

for my God is my source of strength 33 

Isaiah 49:7

49:7 This is what the Lord,

the protector 34  of Israel, their Holy One, 35  says

to the one who is despised 36  and rejected 37  by nations, 38 

a servant of rulers:

“Kings will see and rise in respect, 39 

princes will bow down,

because of the faithful Lord,

the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you.”

Isaiah 51:3

51:3 Certainly the Lord will console Zion;

he will console all her ruins.

He will make her wilderness like Eden,

her desert like the Garden of the Lord.

Happiness and joy will be restored to 40  her,

thanksgiving and the sound of music.

Isaiah 56:6

56:6 As for foreigners who become followers of 41  the Lord and serve him,

who love the name of the Lord and want to be his servants –

all who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it,

and who are faithful to 42  my covenant –

Isaiah 59:21

59:21 “As for me, this is my promise to 43  them,” says the Lord. “My spirit, who is upon you, and my words, which I have placed in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and descendants from this time forward,” 44  says the Lord.

Isaiah 66:5

66:5 Hear the word of the Lord,

you who respect what he has to say! 45 

Your countrymen, 46  who hate you

and exclude you, supposedly for the sake of my name,

say, “May the Lord be glorified,

then we will witness your joy.” 47 

But they will be put to shame.
