Psalms 97:7

All who worship idols are ashamed, those who boast about worthless idols. All the gods bow down before him. ¹ 

All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods!

Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods.

Those who worship idols are disgraced––all who brag about their worthless gods––for every god must bow to him.

All who serve handcrafted gods will be sorry--And they were so proud of their ragamuffin gods! On your knees, all you gods--worship him!

Shamed be all those who give worship to images, and take pride in false gods; give him worship, all you gods.

All worshipers of images are put to shame, those who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before him.

Let all be put to shame who serve carved images, Who boast of idols. Worship Him, all you gods.

¹ tn The translation assumes that the prefixed verbal form in the first line is an imperfect (“are ashamed”) and that the ambiguous form in the third line is a perfect (“bow down”) because the psalmist appears to be describing the effect of the Lord’s mighty theophany on those who witness it (see vv. 5, 8). Another option is to take the prefixed form in the first line as a jussive (“let all who worship idols be ashamed”) and the ambiguous form in the third line as an imperative (“All you gods, bow down before him!”; cf. NIV).
