Psalms 142:5

I cry out to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my shelter, my security ¹  in the land of the living.”

I cry to you, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

I cried out to You, O LORD; I said, "You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

Then I pray to you, O LORD. I say, "You are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life.

I cry out, GOD, call out: 'You're my last chance, my only hope for life!'

I have made my cry to you, O Lord; I have said, You are my safe place, and my heritage in the land of the living.

I cry to you, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, "You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

I cry out to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my shelter, my security ¹  in the land of the living.”

¹ tn Heb “my portion.” The psalmist compares the Lord to landed property, which was foundational to economic stability in ancient Israel.
