Matthew 10:18

And you will be brought before governors and kings ¹  because of me, as a witness to them and the Gentiles.

On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.

and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

And you must stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. This will be your opportunity to tell them about me––yes, to witness to the world.

Don't be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they've done you--and me--a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news!
