Luke 7:43

Simon answered, ¹  “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled.” ²  Jesus ³  said to him, “You have judged rightly.”

Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt cancelled." "You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have judged correctly."

Simon answered, "I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt." "That’s right," Jesus said.

Simon answered, "I suppose the one who was forgiven the most." "That's right," said Jesus.

Simon, in answer, said, It seems he whose debt was greater. And he said, Your decision is right.

Simon answered, "I suppose the one for whom he canceled the greater debt." And Jesus said to him, "You have judged rightly."

Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have rightly judged."

Simon answered, ¹  “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled.” ²  Jesus ³  said to him, “You have judged rightly.”

¹ tn Grk “answering, said.” This is redundant in contemporary English and has been simplified to “answered.”

² tn Grk “the one to whom he forgave more” (see v. 42).

³ tn Grk “He”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity. Here δέ (de) has not been translated.
