Luke 22:40

When he came to the place, ¹  he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” ² 

On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."

When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."

There he told them, "Pray that you will not be overcome by temptation."

When they arrived at the place, he said, "Pray that you don't give in to temptation."

And when he came to the place, he said to them, Make a prayer that you may not be put to the test.

When he reached the place, he said to them, "Pray that you may not come into the time of trial."

When He came to the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."

When he came to the place, ¹  he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” ² 

¹ sn Luke does not mention Gethsemane by name, but calls it simply the place.

² sn Jesus’ instructions to pray not to fall into temptation is an allusion to Luke 22:28-38, especially 22:31. The temptation is Satan’s challenge to them to defect, like what happened to Judas and what will happen to Peter.
