Luke 12:47

That ¹  servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or do what his master asked ²  will receive a severe beating.

"That servant who knows his master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows.

"And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes,

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it.

"The servant who knows what his master wants and ignores it, or insolently does whatever he pleases, will be thoroughly thrashed.

And the servant who had knowledge of his lord’s desires and was not ready for him and did not do as he was ordered, will be given a great number of blows;

That slave who knew what his master wanted, but did not prepare himself or do what was wanted, will receive a severe beating.

"And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes .
