Leviticus 25:40

He must be with you as a hired worker, as a resident foreigner; ¹  he must serve with you until the year of jubilee,

He is to be treated as a hired worker or a temporary resident among you; he is to work for you until the Year of Jubilee.

‘He shall be with you as a hired man, as if he were a sojourner; he shall serve with you until the year of jubilee.

Treat them instead as hired servants or as resident foreigners who live with you, and they will serve you only until the Year of Jubilee.

Treat him as a hired hand or a guest among you. He will work for you until the Jubilee,

But let him be with you as a servant working for payment, till the year of Jubilee;

They shall remain with you as hired or bound laborers. They shall serve with you until the year of the jubilee.

‘As a hired servant and a sojourner he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the Year of Jubilee.
