Job 24:19

The drought as well as the heat carry away the melted snow; ¹  so the grave ²  takes away those who have sinned. ³ 

As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so the grave snatches away those who have sinned.

"Drought and heat consume the snow waters, So does Sheol those who have sinned.

Death consumes sinners just as drought and heat consume snow.

As surely as snow melts under the hot, summer sun, sinners disappear in the grave.

Snow waters become dry with the heat: so do sinners go down into the underworld.

Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.

As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So the grave consumes those who have sinned.

³ tn This is the meaning of the verse, which in Hebrew only has “The grave / they have sinned.”
