Job 20:25

When he pulls it out ¹  and it comes out of his back, the gleaming point ²  out of his liver, terrors come over him.

He pulls it out of his back, the gleaming point out of his liver. Terrors will come over him;

"It is drawn forth and comes out of his back, Even the glittering point from his gall. Terrors come upon him,

The arrow is pulled from his body, and the arrowhead glistens with blood. The terrors of death are upon him.

They're knocked around from pillar to post, beaten to within an inch of their lives. They're trapped in a house of horrors,

He is pulling it out, and it comes out of his back; and its shining point comes out of his side; he is overcome by fears.

It is drawn forth and comes out of their body, and the glittering point comes out of their gall; terrors come upon them.

¹ tn The MT has “he draws out [or as a passive, “it is drawn out/forth”] and comes [or goes] out of his back.” For the first verb שָׁלַף (shalaf, “pull, draw”), many commentators follow the LXX and use שֶׁלַח (shelakh, “a spear”). It then reads “and a shaft comes out of his back,” a sword flash comes out of his liver.” But the verse could also be a continuation of the preceding.
