Ephesians 1:12

so that we, who were the first to set our hope ¹  on Christ, ²  would be to the praise of his glory.

in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

God’s purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God.

part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.

So that his glory might have praise through us who first had hope in Christ:

so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.

that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

so that we, who were the first to set our hope ¹  on Christ, ²  would be to the praise of his glory.
