The Song of Songs 6:1

The Maidens to the Beloved: Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned? Tell us, ¹  that we may seek him with you. ² 

Where has your lover gone, most beautiful of women? Which way did your lover turn, that we may look for him with you?

"Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned, That we may seek him with you?"

Young Women of Jerusalem: "O rarest of beautiful women, where has your lover gone? We will help you find him."

So where has this love of yours gone, fair one? Where on earth can he be? Can we help you look for him?

Where is your loved one gone, O most fair among women? Where is your loved one turned away, that we may go looking for him with you?

Where has your beloved gone, O fairest among women? Which way has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you?

² tn Heb “And we may seek him with you.” The vav-conjunctive on וּנְבַקְשֶׁנּוּ (unÿvaqshennu, “and we may seek him with you”) denotes purpose/result.
