Psalms 102:11

My days are coming to an end, ¹  and I am withered like grass.

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

My days are like a lengthened shadow, And I wither away like grass.

My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows. I am withering like grass.

There's nothing left of me--a withered weed, swept clean from the path.

My days are like a shade which is stretched out; I am dry like the grass.

My days are like an evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

My days are like a shadow that lengthens, And I wither away like grass.

My days are coming to an end, ¹  and I am withered like grass.

¹ tn Heb “my days [are] like an extended [or “lengthening”] shadow,” that is, like a late afternoon shadow made by the descending sun that will soon be swallowed up by complete darkness.
