All those numbered of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, are 186,400. They will travel ¹  at the front.

All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first.

"The total of the numbered men of the camp of Judah: 186,400, by their armies. They shall set out first.

So the total of all the troops on Judah’s side of the camp is 186,400. These three tribes are to lead the way whenever the Israelites travel to a new campsite.

The number of all the armies of Judah was a hundred and eighty-six thousand, four hundred. They go forward first.

The total enrollment of the camp of Judah, by companies, is one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred. They shall set out first on the march.

"All who were numbered according to their armies of the forces with Judah, one hundred and eighty–six thousand four hundred––these shall break camp first.

¹ tn The verb is נָסָע (nasa’): “to journey, travel, set out,” and here, “to move camp.” Judah will go first, or, literally, at the head of the nation, when they begin to travel.
