Luke 8:54

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!"

He, however, took her by the hand and called, saying, "Child, arise!"

Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice, "Get up, my child!"

Then Jesus, gripping her hand, called, "My dear child, get up."

But he, taking her hand, said to her, My child, get up.

But he took her by the hand and called out, "Child, get up!"

But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, "Little girl, arise."

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

¹ tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

² tn Grk “and called, saying.” This is redundant in contemporary English and has been simplified in the translation to “and said.”
