Joshua 8:27

But Israel did plunder the cattle and the goods of the city, in accordance with the Lord’s orders to Joshua. ¹ 

But Israel did carry off for themselves the livestock and plunder of this city, as the LORD had instructed Joshua.

Israel took only the cattle and the spoil of that city as plunder for themselves, according to the word of the LORD which He had commanded Joshua.

Only the cattle and the treasures of the city were not destroyed, for the Israelites kept these for themselves, as the LORD had commanded Joshua.

Israel did get to take the livestock and loot left in the city; GOD's instructions to Joshua allowed for that.

But the cattle and the goods from that town, Israel took for themselves, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua.

Only the livestock and the spoil of that city Israel took as their booty, according to the word of the LORD that he had issued to Joshua.
