John 8:8

Then ¹  he bent over again and wrote on the ground.

Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt.

And again, with bent head, he made letters on the floor.

And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground.

And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Then ¹  he bent over again and wrote on the ground.

¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “Then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative. Greek style often begins sentences or clauses with “and,” but English style generally does not.
