John 1:22

Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us ¹  so that we can give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

Finally they said, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"

Then they said to him, "Who are you, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?"

"Then who are you? Tell us, so we can give an answer to those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?"

Exasperated, they said, "Who, then? We need an answer for those who sent us. Tell us something--anything!--about yourself."

So they said to him, Who are you then? We have to give some answer to those who sent us. What have you to say about yourself?

Then they said to him, "Who are you? Let us have an answer for those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"

Then they said to him, "Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?"

Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us ¹  so that we can give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

¹ tn The words “Tell us” are not in the Greek but are implied.
