Job 38:13

that it might seize the corners of the earth, ¹  and shake the wicked out of it?

that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?

That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?

Have you ever told the daylight to spread to the ends of the earth, to bring an end to the night’s wickedness?

So you could seize Earth like a blanket and shake out the wicked like cockroaches?

So that it might take a grip of the skirts of the earth, shaking all the evil-doers out of it?

so that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?

¹ sn The poetic image is that darkness or night is like a blanket that covers the earth, and at dawn it is taken by the edges and shaken out. Since the wicked function under the cover of night, they are included in the shaking when the dawn comes up.
