Job 20:24

If he flees from an iron weapon, then an arrow ¹  from a bronze bow pierces him.

Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow pierces him.

"He may flee from the iron weapon, But the bronze bow will pierce him.

He will try to escape, but God’s arrow will pierce him.

As they run for their lives from one disaster, they run smack into another.

He may go in flight from the iron spear, but the arrow from the bow of brass will go through him;

They will flee from an iron weapon; a bronze arrow will strike them through.

He will flee from the iron weapon; A bronze bow will pierce him through.

If he flees from an iron weapon, then an arrow ¹  from a bronze bow pierces him.

¹ tn Heb “a bronze bow pierces him.” The words “an arrow from” are implied and are supplied in the translation; cf. “pulls it out” in the following verse.
